This story was about the new Hunger Games movie that was released in 2023 and how many fans in the school community were anticipating the release. The challenge with this story was having to find ways to avoid copyright since it was a movie. My partner and I worked with our advisor to find the press release photos of the movie. That way, we could still use stills from the film without being copyrighted.
This story covers the opinions of students on the student parking situation. A few students thought that the parking system was bad, but others thought that having specific assigned spots was a good idea. Showing multiple viewpoints of a highly opinionated topic allowed for a balance between thoughts and opinions of student drivers on a school issue that affected them directly.

Guiding through ethics
As a producer, I had to help guide a team through an ethical issue. They were covering a story about mental health and how students and teachers keep up with their mental health. There was one interview where a student had revealed sensitive information about their mental health, and while that student had given the team permission to use all of their quotes, we felt as though we should keep that person's information private. My fellow producers and I helped guide the team into cutting that part of their interview out and keeping all of the other quotes.
Protecting Personal InformationFor this Pride story, there was the ethical issue of whether or not to "out" the student's sexualities or not. Although each student had given permission for their sexualities and preferred pronouns to be used and displayed, my partner and I, with our advisor, had to decide whether or not to display them in the lower thirds. We ultimately decided that we would not display them, to make sure to protect that student's identity as a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
